Jingle All the Way: Reflecting on the Places I've Traveled This Year on my Book Tour!
Merry Christmas! Wishing you joyful holidays and a fantastic New Year ahead!
Before I dive into my 2023 recap of an exceptional year in my career I have to update you all on our recent auction for Artists Against Antisemitism. Thank you for bidding and supporting our initiative because of all of you we raised $118,982 that is being donated to Project Shema, an organization committed to building bridges through understanding. With our donation, they will be able to subsidize essential training on select college campuses to help students understand anti-Jewish harm and allyship in this difficult moment. As I mentioned in this newsletter 33 female authors came together to establish Artists Against Antisemitism and I am honored to be one of those authors!
On November 7, 2023, I celebrated a significant milestone—my official debut as an author with the release of my book, "Embracing The Calm In The Chaos." While the publication date marked my official status as a published author, the journey commenced long before. For years, I dedicated myself to crafting this book, eventually securing a deal with Harper Collins in May of 2022. Though technically, my authorship began with the sale of my ideas to Harper Collins, the true realization of this milestone arrived on the publication date.
Many have inquired about my journey, curious about the process and the path taken. I must say, every author's story is unique. My own has been a magical journey, a culmination of dedication, hard work, and unwavering perseverance.
In addition to penning my book, I embarked on another milestone in my authorship journey—I narrated the audio version of my book. This endeavor added another layer to my accomplishments as an author.
At each stop of my book tour, I truly embodied the spirit of JINGLE, and this energy will persist into 2024. My fellow authors have often remarked, "You never stop promoting your books," and indeed, I find myself continuously dedicated to this endeavor. It echoes the fervor I experienced when I first launched my brand, BOY MEETS GIRL®. Despite the challenges and the weariness it may bring, I cherish every step of this journey.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible bookstores that graciously hosted me, the retail outlets that showed faith in my work, the enriching book retreats, the supportive press, and the engaging podcast interviews. My deepest thanks also go out to my friends, family, and the communities—both old and new—whose unwavering support has been invaluable.
A special appreciation to my agent and publisher, along with the various book distribution channels that have contributed to spreading my work. And let's not forget the invaluable book reviews! Each review holds immense significance, aiding in the continued promotion of my book and assisting others in their decision to embrace it. Your support means the world to me.

I wanted to part with this written by
on his note here which I read from him a few weeks ago. It popped up in my feed and it took the words right out of my mouth about the current issues happening in our world.“My only wishes this coming year is for peace and the health of self and all others—no matter who or where.
The world is in a perilous place, and us the common people have been driven to the edge by those who control our laws and governance.
But I know as someone who is fortunate to exist in a small and relatively peaceful country—one must continue to write and speak up and give.
Give in order to put out positive energy in the world, spread the word of hope.
I say to all of you writers this—thank you.
For it is and has been this communities creativity and expression that has often given strength in the past years. The courage needed to remind myself that life is beautiful and I am lucky.
May peace envelope us all in this world and prosperous health come to those who are being punished by the actions of the cruel few who abuse power ❤🎈” - David
