PROTECT YOUR ASS—ETS
In business, it’s essential to safeguard your original ideas so that competitors don’t copy you.
Well if I am not vulnerable who will be right? Not my most glamorous photo but hey I like to be real and so that is why I share with you in my book EMBRACING THE CALM IN THE CHAOS real stories about the bad world of imitators and copiers that come out when you are a new entrepreneur on the scene!
YES, IT REALLY DOES HAPPEN. AND YES IT REALLY DOES SUCK. AND YES YOU NEED A STOMACH OF STEAL IF YOU ARE GOING TO ENTER THE WILD WILD WEST OF STARTING A COMPANY!
As I wrote in the introduction of my book, “What I always say to people starting out in fashion, or any industry, is that the clock doesn’t stop, but you don’t have to race against it. You do, however, have to work hard all the time and really believe in what you’re putting out there. If you don’t believe in what you’re putting out there, and you can’t differentiate yourself in the marketplace, don’t bother. You have to think about what you want to do, who and where you want to be, and how you’re going to get there.”

REVIEWS:
WOW this reader read my book in a few days and what I loved about her note is that it inspired her to want to start a company! I also love that she really never reads memoir/business books but due to my retreat last weekend with Zibby Retreats, she heard me at the Sag Harbor Book Store and was intrigued so she bought and read the book! I need to do more speaking engagements ahhh.
