As I wrote in the introduction of my book, “What I always say to people starting out in fashion, or any industry, is that the clock doesn’t stop, but you don’t have to race against it. You do, however, have to work hard all the time and really believe in what you’re putting out there. If you don’t believe in what you’re putting out there, and you can’t differentiate yourself in the marketplace, don’t bother. You have to think about what you want to do, who and where you want to be, and how you’re going to get there.”
